Series Overview
Shangchai series generator sets are powered by industrial water-cooled diesel engines manufactured by Shanghai Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. The control system operates at 24 VDC and is equipped with spin-on diesel and oil filters and a dry-type air filter. The sets feature a compact structure, high power output and reliable performance, and low-noise versions are available on request.
Engine Characteristics
1. Integral crankshaft, tunnel-type cylinder block, side-by-side split connecting rods and a short piston give a compact, reasonable configuration and strong adaptability for matching;
2. A newly developed recessed combustion chamber with higher injection pressure improves the combustion process and meets environmental targets — exhaust pollutant emission values comply with requirements;
3. Optimized lubrication and cooling systems reduce external piping and the number of components; together with an integral brushless AC alternator, the "three leakages" are greatly improved and reliability is significantly enhanced;
4. Strong high-altitude capability: power derating is less than 3% when operating at 5,000 m altitude.
