Every diesel set is built to order — choose the engine series, then the output and configuration. BRITOP in-house series covers 30–408 kW; Weichai, Cummins, Yuchai and Shangchai series run from 30 kW to 1200 kW; Changchai covers the 5–23 kW small range. Silent canopies, mobile trailers and ATS changeover are available on any of them. The BRT Diesel Pump Series brings the same industrial diesel engines to water pumping duty, and the Diesel Engine Series supplies those same engines on their own for generator, pump and machinery drive.
Standard on every set
- Engines sized at 1.1x alternator rating to keep voltage stable and protect service life under load changes.
- Controllers with auto start, AMF, parallel and grid-sync modes, plus LCD monitoring, fault storage and self-diagnosis.
- Maintenance-free batteries reduce routine checks and cold-start failures.
- Quick-access service panels shorten oil, filter and belt changes.
Available as options
- Alternator winding choices — all-aluminium, half-copper or all-copper windings, brushed or brushless, self-excited or permanent-magnet excitation.
- Silent canopies built with stainless-steel bolted frames and sealed panels — no dedicated generator room needed for indoor or outdoor placement.
- Trailer-mounted mobile units with swivel hitch (180-degree turning) and mechanical parking brake for quick site-to-site moves.
- DPF black-smoke purifiers that meet Ringelmann grade 1, replace the second-stage silencer and allow low-level discharge without a tall stack.
- Medium-voltage outputs from 6 kV to 11 kV for long feeder runs or high-power industrial duty.
- Coolant, oil or battery heaters for cold-climate starts, and rain-proof covers for dusty or open sites.

- Conversion: kW x 1.25 = kVA; kW x 1.8 = current (A); kW x 1.36 = horsepower; power factor 0.8.
- Voltage: 400/230 V standard; 6 kV, 6.3 kV, 6.6 kV, 10 kV, 10.5 kV and 11 kV available as options.
- Frequency / speed: 50 Hz at 1500 rpm, 60 Hz at 1800 rpm.

Example application — granite crushing in Tanzania
A project example from a granite crushing site in Tanzania: a 500/550 kW prime/standby diesel set with a Tier III 840-series engine running 24 hours a day on a crushing and screening plant. The configuration below was specified for that site — engine, alternator and service package were selected for the local conditions, not as a range-wide specification.

BRITOP model naming rule
All BRITOP generator models follow the rule BP + Engine Series + Rated Power + GF (BP = BRITOP POWER). Legacy YG-prefixed models are renumbered with the BP prefix:
